by David Pettifer, Birmingham 1853, shaped demilune, with all-over scrolling foliate engraving, the hinged cover with presentation inscription dated 1867, with scrolling leaf thumbpiece, gilded to interior. 7.1cm wide, 2.2 troy ounces
Presentation inscription reads: 'PRESENTED / WITH A HORSE / TO / Charles Warke Esqe M.D. / By a Few of his Friends / in token of their respect for his many excellent / qualities in both his public and / private capacity / MAGILLIGAN / 1867'.
Marks clear and well struck. In excellent condition
