FIRST EDITION. The editor, E. Davidson Washington, was the second son of Booker T. Washington. INSCRIBED BY E. DAVIDSON WASHINGTON to Claude A. Barnett on the fp: “To my friend Claude A. Barnett From E. Davidson Washington Jan. 19-1933”. Laid-in is a Typed Letter Signed by E. Davidson Washington, January 19, 1933, on Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute stationery, addressed to Mr. Barnett, asking for any help in publicizing the book. This is from the library of Claude Albert Barnett (1889-1967), the founder of the Associated Negro Press, with his bookplate on the fp. From the collection of the Barnett family.
