Description
Ca. 1750-60’s Massachusetts maple two-part highboy with chestnut and white pine secondary woods, fitted with period brass hardware in original holes. Top section with bold cornice moulding and two over three drawers, the base with three drawers, full length bottom fan carved drawer (simulated as three), on a well formed apron with original double drop pediment and four forward facing cabriole legs ending in high padded feet. 72.5”H x 36”W upper case x 40.5”W overall x 20”D. Provenance - Newfound Lake, NH Estate, Ex. Peter Eaton (see receipt).
Condition
refinished, minor lip and moulding repairs.
