Item Details

Description

A fine French weave creel fitted with a Handitop, trimmed with fancy tooled leather, 10” tall, 15” wide base, and retaining its W.D.R. initialed front plaque. With general wear from use, mostly to the metal lid, the Handitop features a worm container, fly holder and twist style center hole access to the basket. A similar creel can be found on page 177 of the book The Art of the Creel by Chatham/McClain.
