A fine Thai copper-alloy head of a crowned Buddha, Thailand, Ayutthaya period, 17th century, the peaceful face with downcast eyes and pendant earlobes and an intricately patterned diadem surmounted by his conical ushnisha, approximately 37.5cm high x 21cm wide x 21 deep, on bespoke patinated metal stand approximately 133 cm high Provenance: Private Collection, Eaton Place, London and by repute purchased by the current owner's parents in the 1980's in Bangkok.
