A Chinese originally tailored Imperial yellow satin silk throne cushion, Daoguang or Xianfeng, embroidered with a front facing five-clawed dragon chasing the pearl of wisdom and two running dragons, all above a lishui water and wave pattern, bordered with a trellis of lotus flowers leaves and auspicious bats embroidered in coral and blue silk threads, within the inner panel the eight auspicious symbols intertwine with the clouds surrounding the dragons, the back is lined with a imperial yellow cloud patterned damask silk a classic design associated with textiles of the inner court of the Emperors, original padding not present, overall size approximately 76cm high x 80cm wide 清道光/咸丰 御制黄地缎绣云龙纹枕
