A black and white photograph, measuring 8" x 10", Dallas, dated November 22, 1963. With light creasing at the corners. Light soiling, with further soiling and toning at the edges on verso. Very good. PSA Slabbed and Graded Type III, measuring 9.75" x 13" overall.

A UPI Telephoto with four stills of Lee Harvey Oswald soon after his arrest by Dallas Police. He can be seen with several small cuts and bruises on his face, received when he tried to fight off his pursuers. The caption reads in full: "DALLAS: Lee H. Oswald , prime suspect in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is shown at Dallas Police Headquarters. Oswald received a cut on the forehead and a black left eye in the a fight with officers who arrested him. Oswald has been charged with the murder of a Dallas Police Officer who attempted to arrest him. He has not yet been charged with the murder of the President." The photograph is numbered DAP112238. Stamped on verso "Lee H. Oswald" and "Received Examiner Reference Library Dec 6 1964", along with a clipped newspaper image of Oswald in police custody.

Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested at a Dallas movie theater just under two hours after President Kennedy had been shot. During the arrest, Oswald attempted to shoot Officer Nick McDonald but the gun didn't go off. The two engaged in a short tussle before Oswald was disarmed and led out of the theater. He was taken into custody and formally charged for the murder of Officer Tippet that evening, although he was also already suspected of the murder of the president. During his two days at Dallas Police Headquarters, Oswald was repeatedly interrogated but continued to claim he was innocent and a "patsy".
