The arrowhead accompanied by a handwritten note: This Arrowhead (pin) was given me by Chief Geronimo, at the Chicago Worlds Columbian Exposition, in 1893. It was his capture that cost the U.S. Government more in money than did the Spanish-American War. Wm. M. Zenkel; also accompanied by a note inscribed: Dec. 22, 1953 Geronimo as I knew him - His face was like bronze from sun and weather, and as wrinkled as an old glove. His eyes were small and moist. His voice soft, and his head rather large which sat well on broad, massive shoulders. His body bent with years for he was an old man. A man who had cost the government - it is said - more in lifes and money before he was finally captured than did the Spanish American War. I met him in 1893 and talked with him on may occasions. He was never boastful but, on the contrary, quite modest, bashful and reticent, leaving an impression that he could be a dangerous adversary. Wm. M. Zenkel
The arrowhead's enclosing envelope inscribed: To RHR 11/62/52 Mr. Zenkel worked at Marshall Field & Co. when I worked there. When he learned of Roy's interest in the Indian he gave us this pin - LWR.
The watch holder accompanied by a note inscribed: This watch holder? was something my father had for years. He might have gotten it at the World's Columbian Exposition 1893. I really don't know - or at the St. Louis Exp - 1904 - L.W.R. Apparently Apache
The armbands with a tag inscribed: Apache 10/29/26 / Martinez from Taos
