Rare Ornate Ottoman Turkish convex form circular warrior shield Chiseled & decorated. Bottom rim & central panel decorated with Arabic chiseled inscription from holy book Koran to invoke God's power and blessings to win battle. The shield bears an elaborate chiseled engraving over its entire surface with floral & creeper design and medallions. The reverse of shield has cloth cushion and 2 cotton thick belts to hold shield. Four domed bosses. Measures 19 inches in diameter. It would be fine addition to your collection or perfect gift or display.
