Description
Four pieces of Mason's Patent Ironstone China in the green "Mandarin" pattern, circa 1815, executed in transferware with over enamel, each centering a Chinese domestic scene of a man and woman with a tea set, framed by a green border interspaced with floral cartouches, comprising (2) rimed bowls, h. 1.5", dia. 9.5"; (1) plate, dia. 9.75"; and (1) small oval platter, h. 8.75", w. 11"; all appropriately marked. Provenance: From the Private Collection Harry R. Greenblatt, Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition
Wear to over enamel and rim color, platter with (2) 1/16" losses to enamel, plate with crazing to back, one bowl with crazing to underside and one bowl with (1) 1/8" chip under the rim.
