Description
Emilio P. Fiaschi (Italian 1858-1941), carved alabaster sculpture of Terpsichore, the Greek muse of dance, depicted seated on a rocky outcropping wearing a laurel wreath and a chiton with her lyre resting on the ground beside her, signed E. Fiaschi at lower back. Approx. h. 30.5", w. 10.5", d. 19".
Condition
Missing one of her fingers, chip to tip of one toe, scattered minor chips to wreath and to rocky outcropping, repaired break curving from one side to the other, through the rocky outcropping.
