Description
Pair of Jacob Petit (French 1796-1868) porcelain Schneeballen lidded bottle vases, mid-19th century, in the manner of Meissen, each having a gilt vermiculite neck, applied florals, mayflowers, and birds on branches with various fruits and chili peppers, having spurious blue crossed swords and dot marks and incised "2034" to the underside of each. Approx. h. 16.75".
Condition
Scattered chips and losses to the floral elements - not distracting, both vases with possible restorations to birds, some loss to gilding, no apparent cracks to bodies.
