William Wilson and Son (founded 1883) Japonesque sterling pitcher, late 19th century, having a spot hammered spout and neck issuing a curved handle in the form of three bent bamboo fronds wrapped in ribbon above a wide band depicting a lattice fence with lilies, prunus, and butterflies executed in repousse and chasing, the underside marked 'Wm. Wilson and Son, Sterling.' Provenance from the Estate of Marjorie & Ralph Knowles, Atlanta, GA. Approx. h. 8.75", w. 8". Total approx. weighable sterling silver-- 26.46 ozt.
Condition
Overall good, tarnish and minor scratches underneath, consistent with age and light use.
