Description
English Sheffield sterling silver teapot and cup, 1887, made by Harrison Brothers & Howson (founded 1773), the diminutive teapot having an urn form, bone finial and scrolling bone handle, the body chased with an abstract wave pattern, together with a matching cup, both with appropriate marks. Approx. h. 5.25", w. 8", d. 5"; weight inclusive of all material, 285 grams. Cup h. 2", dia. 3.5"; weighing 79 grams. Total approx. weight 11.70 ozt.
Condition
Teapot -- Minor scratches consistent with light use, no dents or age cracks to bone. Chips with loss at the base of the bone finial. Cup -- Minor scratches consistent with light use.
