Two Chinese Export Famille Rose crab plates, the first of circular form, decorated with two crabs and sprays of peony, the second plate of octagonal form, centering a hermit crab in the shell with a crab, fish, and pond weed, neither having an apparent mark. Larger approx. h. 1.5", dia. 11"; smaller h. 1.25", dia. 9".

Examined under blacklight. No inpainting. First plate (3) 1/4" chips under rim, (5) 1/8" chips under rim, minor to moderate soil, Second plate, minor wear to enamel and minor soil.
