Depicts a bald man with with angular facial details and nude torso on the back of a Gallery One London card. Souza studied at the at the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai but was expelled for participating in the Quit India Movement. By 1947 Souza founded the Progressive Artist's Movement alongside S.H. Raza, M.F Husain and K.H. Ara among others, with subjects ranging from landscapes to nudes and Christian iconography. His works can be found at the Tate Gallery, London and the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.

Signed and dated "Souza 59" upper left edge.
