Description
A pair of antique 19th-century Persian ceramic plates. The white plates have hand-painted blue rims with Neoclassical ornaments. An inscription in Arabic decorated the center of the plates. Embossed moon mark 1294 on the bottom of the plates refers to the year of the Hegira Hijri, 1877 according to Gregorian calendar. The items belong to the late Qajar period, 1795-1925. A wall mount is on the backside of both plates. Collectible Oriental Islamic Tableware And Decor.
