The Griswold Mfg. Co. made this machine for the Red Star Sanitary Vending Machine Co. of Davenport Iowa, c. 1914. Another classic cast iron peanut machine with flared globe and unusual dial operated coin entry. Each nickel gives you two cranks. This example has the variation of a round base as opposed to feet, and it is in an old re-paint with all original parts and a Griswold globe. CONDITION: The paint is worn with areas of oxidation, and the cast iron has moderate pitting that has been stabilized. A very collectable large globe peanut machine and a difficult one to find.
