Description
A very early tin die-cut easel back display made out of tin for the Little Barrister Cigar Co. York, Pennsylvania. Marked for "The Kauffman & Strauss Co. New York", showing a young boy with a box of cigars, dressed in what appears to be a cap and gown or possibly a robe. CONDITION: Shows areas of paint loss, scuffs and scrapes, primarily to the bottom image. Some areas of paint loss to the main field including the face of the young boy. However, this is an extremely rare sign, and would display well in any cigar advertising collection. Condition: (6.5). Dimensions: 8 - 1/2" x 13 - 3/4".
