An English mahogany revolving drum table
second half 19th century
The circular gilt tooled brown leather lined top with alternating frieze drawers and faux drawers rotating above the pedestal base, locks stamped SECURE / PATENT, on casters.
height 31in (79cm); diameter 60in (152cm)

Condition

In overall restored condition. Structurally sound. General marks nicks, scratches, cracking, lifting to veneer, areas of losses and patched repair, notably to edges of top. Leather top replaced. With later oak platform with molded edge added under top. Hardware replaced. With later oak blocks added to top of pedestal base, Later securing blocks to underside. With glue to underside of base and metal braces.
