a) three autographed photographs of Lily Pons, each signed along the lower center edge, 16 x 11 cm (6 1/4 x 4 3/8 in.) [two smaller sight], 21 x 16 cm (8 1/4 x 6 1/4 in.) [largest sight]
b) one letter from Puccini to Friends,1921, signed, 9 x 14 cm (3 1/2 x 5 1/2 in.) [sight]
c) a compilation of letters and documents related to Puccini, 17 x 22 cm (6 3/4 x 8 5/8 in.) [sight]
framed dimensions: smallest: 22.3 x 17.5 cm ( 8 3/4 x 6 7/8 in.); framed dimensions largest: 44.5 x 53 cm (17 1/2 x 20 7/8 in.)

a) two accompanied by Certificates of authenticity from the Metropolitan Opera. (Copies available upon request.)
LOT NOTES
Giacomo Puccini Italian composer, one of the greatest known exponent of operatic realism, notable works including, La Boheme (1896), Tosca (1900), Madama Butterfly (1904), and Turandot (left incomplete).
Lily Pons known for her vocal range of coloratura soprano, with range and expression. Pons was associated with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City for more than 30 years. Most notably performing in, Donizetti's La Fille du regiment (The Daughter of the Regiment), and Vincenzo Bellini's La sonnambula (The Sleepwalk). Along with features in several motion pictures, I Dream Too Much (1935), That Girl from Paris (1936), and Hitting a New High (1937). Her last performance publicly was May 1972 at a Promenade concert of the New York Philharmonic.
