Description
rated 8.5, 31"x47" frame size, gouache & tempera on board, has excellent color, the artwork itself is in very good condition, the matting has soiling. Signed Helck in the lower right-hand corner. Painting shows a New York City street scene circa 1940's show all modes of transportation has horse, vendor pushing a cart, 1930's & 1940's cars and trucks. Great piece of Americana. Peter Helck 1893-1988. Has a Bradywine River Museum exhibition September to November 1976 lent by Arthur Wood Collection.
