Canadian Locomotive Company steam locomotive builders plate removed from Canadian National 4-8-2 #6024. This locomotive was scrapped by the CN in 1960. The plate has great documentation to help place it's sale from the Canadian National to the new owner. The plate was purchased direct from the Canadian National in 1962 and this lot will include copies of the documentation sent from CN to accompany the sale of the headlight, builders plate, and whistle. The plate has been owned by the consignor since sold from CN in 1962. The plate measures 16 1/2" x 8 1/4" with serial number 1752 and a build date of 1924. The plate has light surface rust and a small hole which appears to be a torch mark near the center of the plate.
