Rare 1889 unofficial US 39 star flag with 6-7-7-6-7-6 star arrangement. These flags became instantly obsolete in 1889 when the United States government split the Dakota Territory into North and South Dakota. The flag makers gambled and lost, so many of these flags were burned or discarded few small holes/ minor losses, 15'' x 24''
