Brother Cletus Behlmann was a Marianist Brother and an artist-in-residence at St. Mary's University. Brother Cletus was known for his optimistic and cheerful personality which translated into his bright and colorful paintings. He produced art in metal, acrylics, watercolor, batik, pastels, stained glass, ceramics, handmade paper, linoleum prints, crayon and other media. Brother Cletus studied at the Chicago Institute of Art and Washington University in St. Louis. He was an instructor at several schools, and is responsible for opening the St. Mary€â„¢s University Art Center.
