Offered is an Antique Kaleidoscope, attributed to Charles G. Bush. Unsigned, however near identical in structure to those made by Bush of Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1870's. Features cardboard tubular barrel covered with black pebbled stampedpaper, with cylindrical eye piece at one end, and brass mounted chamber box on the other end turned by hand with 6 brass spokes. Chamber box contains multi colored glass twists and rods, cuts of sheet glass, and liquid filled ampules. All on adownward angle on a turned mahogany stand. Approx. 13-3/4" tall. Stand has some scuffing areas, and wear throughout the tubular barrel with scuffing as well as the chamber box showing wear with some pitted areas.
