3 Mid-Century Giandomenico Belotti Alias Red Spaghetti Dining Side Chairs. Red Spaghetti 101 chairs designed by Giandomenico Belotti for Italian manufacturer Alias. Red lacquered steel frame and PVC back and seat. Originally named the "Odessa" chair, but renamed after exhibiting in New York to refer to the pasta-like plastic strips, which are stretchy to allow seat and back to conform to occupant's shape for comfort. "Alias" sticker still attached on rear curved support. Somehow the poppy red-on-red seems the best possible coloring for this this iconic design, which is in the permanent collection at MoMa.
