Description
Glass and Porcelain
c. 1810-1830 "Indian Chiefs" Liverpool Pottery Saucerette
c. 1810-1830 Native American "Indian Chiefs" Transfer Image Saucerette, Mint.
This transfer image with porcelain color is highly reminiscent of American-related 3" diameter Liverpool Pottery. The image is of two Native American Indian Chiefs on either side of a state seal, with a cornucopia spilling its contents in the foreground. The mark on the reverse is indistinct but includes the letters "JT" in the bottom of an incised outline of a shield. Fine crazing from firing, yet the surfaces are in excellent condition and the piece appears to be in complete, original condition.
