Hard-to-find final novel published in the lifetime of Mansfield Tracy Walworth, shot the following year by his son. Walworth was an unstable, abusive husband who had threatened the reputation (and livelihood) of his step-sister ex-wife and the legitimacy of his son Frank (by claiming he was conceived before the marriage and thus the only reason the marriage was allowed). While convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison, young Frank Walworth was transferred to an insane asylum and pardoned only four years after the parricide by the Governor of New York. First Edition, First Printing of Walworth's final novel, which is supposed to reflect some of autobiographical views of his marriage experience.
