A Silver and Enamel Incense Burner
Meiji era (1868-1912), circa 1890
The lobed vessel set on a splayed foot decorated in silver takazōgan and translucent enamels with two panels of hawks tethered to stands, the surrounding areas with chidori (plovers) in flight above rolling waves and a finely stippled sky, the handles formed as branches of wisteria, the cover with wisteria in flush-inlaid enamels surmounted by a hawk perched on a rock, signed on the underside on a gilt-silver tablet Yasunori koku (Chiseled by Yasunori)
