Taisho (1912-1926) or Showa (1926-1989) era, 20th century
The rectangular box with a slightly convex cover decorated in colored enamels in moriage (relief) with a peony, chrysanthemums, lilies, and other flowers arranged in a cross formation on an iron ground worked on the surface to resemble woven bamboo and highlighted with gilt, the interior lined with silk brocade, applied with cord rings with chrysanthemum bosses and a silk cord, signed on the underside Andō zō (Made by Andō) and with the stamped mark of the Andō Company
With an original wood tomobako storage box with the mark of the Andō Company on the underside of the lid
