Eighteenth Century Greek Orthodox silver cross from Russian Grand Duchess Tatiana. Provenance: Russian Imperial Exhibit from the Hammer Collection at Marshall Field & Co. Chicago. Original 1930s exhibition paperwork is included but significantly deteriorated. Eighteenth Century Greek Orthodox cross of hand-hammered silver showing the cross erected on the Place of the Skulls and inscribed with symbols "Oui' Lord in Heaven, Jesus Christ". In the reverse side is a Russian prayer. From the collection of the Grand Duchess Tatiana in the Alexander Palace, Tsarskoye Selo, Russia. She was the second daughter of Nicholai II, the last Czar. 2 1/8"H x 1"W
