ELF ENGINE CO. 1941 MODEL 40 FOUR-CYLINDER MODEL AIRPLANE ENGINE,(updated 9/14/2022), assembled construction from two twin-cylinder engines, embossed with maker's mark to crankshaft case fin, remaining end with impressed SN "468", external intake pipes run to fuel tank, banjo-style timer with handle, each cylinder fitted with a Champion spark plug, fitted on a metal stand, colorless plastic cylinder-form fuel tank. Crankshaft turns freely and is untested for functionality. Components together by association. Displayed on a wooden stand with metal legs attached. Including additional components comprising of a set of metal display legs and a fuel cover with filter. Four pieces total. Second quarter 20th century. Engine 4 1/2" x 7" overall.
