Toots Zynsky earned her B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design after which she worked with Dale Chihuly at the Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington, where she has been an Instructor. Her works, such as Boshetto, 2011, are recognized for her innovative filet-de-verre technique, a process of pulling very fine threads of glass canes. Zynsky’s work is included in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Seattle Art Museum.
