Klaus Moje is considered a pioneer of the modern art glass movement in Australia. He founded the Glass Workshop of the Canberra School of Art, where he taught for many years. Moje earned his M.A. from Glasfachschule Hadamar, Germany. The influence of traditional cold working skills coming out of the great Bohemian glass traditions is notable in Moje's finely detailed cutting and perfectly ground surfaces. His work is represented in more than fifty museums internationally, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the Museum Bellerive, Zurich, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; and the Museum of Arts & Design, New York.
