A LARGE MARBLE ARCHITECTUAL FRAGMENT OF A LION
Ming-Qing dynasty
Formerly part of the architecture of a bridge, the hunched beast peering over the edge of its supporting rectangular base (to the waters below), with mouth open and a swirling mane, the low-relief tail flicked up over it's back; , with fitted stand.
