Of tapering baluster form with rounded shoulders and a waisted neck with flared mouth, and with a neatly carved oval footrim, the even white stone very well-hollowed, the two narrow sides carved with mock mask-and-ring handles on the shoulders; stopper.

The carvers of snuff bottles often used mock mask-and-ring handles to act as dividers for the scenes on the two main sides of the bottle. In this case it is the stone itself which becomes the focus, although the small handles high on the shoulders are extremely well-carved.

Very good condition, and elegant shape, with delicately carved mock lion mask and ring handles.
