20th century, comprising six palm baskets of varying sizes and patterns, two with bird and insect design, four with geometric design, each with original tag, 4-1/8 in. to 9-1/2 in.
Note: Per tag: "The Embera and Wounaan Indians inhabit one of the world's last untouched rainforests on the Panama/Colombia border. The Darien wilderness is without roads or electricity... While the men hunt, fish, and tend gardens the women weave some of the technically finest and most beautiful baskets ever before seen.
