Description
18th/19th century, comprising: example with central cartouche depicting peacock, leafy and floral border, manganese ground, pewter lid centered with depiction of Joseph II Nuremberg thaler, also engraved indistinctly, pewter base, signed with "M" in underglaze brown to base, 9-3/4 in.; example with cobalt horse galloping, flanked by floral sprays, pewter base and lid, impressed with medallion, lid engraved "17N. F55", pewter mark, "CGB" above an anchor, 10-1/4 in.; example of bulbous form, scrolled handle, painted with cobalt flowers on manganese ground, pewter base and lid, fleur de lis thumb press, 12-1/4 in.; example with central hendecagon, centered with basket issuing flowers, scrolled acanthus decoration, pewter lid, monogrammed "MEK" and dated "1810", 9-1/2 in.
