Eastern Europe, Russia, ca. 1780 CE; Europe, ca. 19th to 20th century CE. A lovely pair of metal examples: a Russian 1780 copper 5 kopek coin and a European bronze medal of Saint George. First, the copper kopek presents a crowned monogram and the year 1780 surrounded by a laurel wreath on the obverse, while the Russian double-headed eagle and the initials "EM" adorn the reverse. Alternatively, the bronze medal displays the relief image of St. George on horseback facing right as he tramples the head of a dragon. Size of larger: 2.4" Diameter (6.1 cm)
Provenance: ex-John B. Kendrick II collection, Denver, Colorado, USA, acquired 1965 to 1990; John B. Kendrick II was that son of John B. Kendrick, Wyoming governor and US senator

Condition
Kopek is good. Medallion has some abrasions and loss of finer detail. Otherwise, both are intact with great patina.
