Chaucer (Geoffrey) [The woorkes of Geffrey Chaucer, newly printed, with diuers addicions, whiche were neuer in printe before], [edited by William Thynne with additions by John Stow], double column, black letter, woodcut illustration at beginning of The Knightes Tale, title for The Romaunt of the Rose within a full-page woodcut historiated border, woodcut decorative initials, lacking all before B1, B6, C5&6, D1-4, F1-6, G1-4, L1, Oo3&4, 2Q6, 2S1-6, 2T1-6, and all after 3K3, tears, occasionally affecting text (see in particular foot of B1), water-stained / stained (especially first few ff.), some spotting, mostly lightly browned, late 18th / early 19th century panelled calf, spine in compartments and with later red leather label, lower joint split, but holding firm, spine ends and corners worn, rubbed and scuffed, [?STC 5076], folio, [?by Ihon Kyngston, for Ihon Wight, dwellyng in Poules Churchyarde], [?1561]. sold not subject to return.
