Publisher's dark blue buckram cloth stamped in gilt. With errata sheet laid in at rear. First Edition, one of 25 copies of the specially bound Publisher's Presentation Issue.

Inscribed and signed by publisher Charles Scribner on the rear free endpaper: "This is one of twenty [sic] copies printed before certain errors in the text were discovered. It is also bound in a different cloth than the regular edition. - Charles Scribner." Rare publisher's "advance" copy, printed from uncorrected sheets and specially bound. (Error "Papadopohi" on p. 21 is uncorrected, as are two errors on pp. 24 and 80. These errors are corrected in the regular copies of the first edition.) A true Hemingway rarity.

Condition
