An important early 20thc figurative oil on panel by the renowned expressionist Russian/French artist Georges Artemov (Artemoff) depicting 2 beautiful little girls in a pensive setting; with a background depicting a vase in a cubist style; the panel is carved thin and gessoed to the reverse; the front of the oil is in good condition with the back panel showing slight separation by the bottom edge; the reverse of the panel is marked 8 in red; panel measures 18" x 14" and with the original primitive wood frame measures 25 1/2" x 21"; the frame is missing a large piece from the upper right side; signed lower right Artemoff.
