19C VICTORIAN 14K GOLD BAMBOO PORCELAIN CAMEO BROOCH

Antique Hand Engraved 19th Century Victorian 14K Gold Bamboo & Rope Bound Porcelain Cameo Brooch Seated Young Girl with a Basket Besides a Fence, circa 1890, unmarked however test positive for '14K Gold' and two long strands of rope tethered bamboo, with third bound stick from which quite cleverly the hand painted porcelain cameo is suspended. The porcelain is missing a small chunk in the 6-7 o' clock area and the although the image is faded you can clearly see a seated young girl with a basket, giving the illusion of her sitting beside the gold bamboo and rope bound fence. This rare and unusual brooch would make an impressive addition to any fine collection.
