Description
Four (4) Southern split oak baskets, including one (1) red-painted round carrying basket made by Rawlings Brown (Washington County, Georgia); one (1) rectangular carrying basket made by Sarah Reeves (Washington County, GA), signed "Sarah Reeves" underside of base; and two (2) East Tennessee or West North Carolina green painted wall buttocks baskets. Ranging in size from 8 1/2" H x 8 1/2" W x 7" D to 11 1/4" H x 11 1/2" W x 6 1/4" D. All late 19th/early 20th century. Note: The red-painted basket was made by Rawlings Brown. His parents were slaves on the Rawlings farm.

Condition
Overall good condition with surface grime. Handle to red basket is slightly loose. Green baskets with areas of loss to paint, scattered breaks, largest 1", to weavers to interiors and base of handles.
