Description
Richard Chambers made a fortune in the silver mines of Utah. In 1887 he built a mansion at 2220 Sacramento St. San Francisco. At his death in 1901 the property was inherited by his niece Claudia Chambers. This begins one of San Francisco's strangest stories and a paranormal site of interest.
Claudia Chambers was said to be a participant in the 'dark arts' curses and spells. On a fateful day a deranged family member, who had been locked in the attic did escape and murdered Claudia and sawed her body in half. She has since been seen and felt haunting the house. Observers note unexplained lights, mysteriously opened doors, and apparitions of Claudia and Richard Chambers.
