Description
The auction featuring items from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Set of four sculptures in painted wood fabrication, made by the Baule Tribe. Region oforigin: Côte d'Ivoire, Africa. Each sculpture is in the form of a Colon figure, and each sculpture depicts a male figural with red painted skin wearing a white hard hat and a suit. Each sculpture is in a different configuration: two are seated and two are standing upright. The largest sculpture measures fifteen and one-half inches tall by three inches wide by three inches deep, the second largest measures fourteen and one-half inches tall by three and one-half inches wide bythree inches deep, the third largest sculpture measures twelve inches tall by three and three-quarters inches wide by five and one-half inches deep, and the smallest sculpture measures eleven and one-halfinches tall by three and one-half inches wide by five inches deep. H:15.5in(39.3cm) - 11.25in (28.5cm)
