Designed as a series of openwork ropetwist chevron links, each set with a brilliant-cut diamond, on a concealed clasp, signed Boucheron Paris, numbered 6.789, maker's mark for Andre Vassort, French assay marks, diamonds approximately 3.50 carats total, length 16.5cm

André Vassort created jewels for the major Place Vendôme jewellers such as Cartier, Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels, who trusted him to create not only their fine jewels but also their special commissions. He worked from the 1950s, often experimenting with gold and his pieces are often noted for their superb manufacture.

Diamonds good quality, estimated as F/G/H, VS. Very well made and excellent quality. Links three dimensional with wonderful shape and volume and clasp invisible when worn. In very good condition for age. One of the diamonds with a small chip to the girdle which is hardly visible even with magnification. Clasp works and is secure.
