GARNET AND DIAMOND CROSS, 2ND HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY
The Latin cross set with cushion-shaped garnets, accented by rose-cut diamonds, with pierced scroll and fleur-de-lys details, set with similarly-cut diamonds, mounted in silver and gold, Austrian assay marks, length 8.0cm

Condition
Garnets of well matched deep red hues with some abrasions visible to facets/facet edges under 10 X magnification. Diamonds with a few minor chips/abrasions visible under 10 X lens. Untested gold and silver with light surface wear and discolouration commensurate with age. Ring stamped AH with a partially struck Austrian assay mark. Reverse of gem-set suspension loop stamped 'A'. Overall in good condition. Gross weight approx. 18.0 grams.
