GOLD AND DIAMOND RING/BRACELET, CIRCA 1845
Set with an old cushion-shaped diamond, foliate engraved decoration to the gold mount, the foliate engraved shank unfolding into eight hinged octagonal sections to be worn as a bracelet, the diamond-set centre section forming the clasp, ring size L½, bracelet length 17.5cm

The engraved decoration is a little worn in places, such as the edges of the ring shank and quite worn to a couple of the centre bracelet links. When worn as a bracelet there is only engraved decoration to the exterior side. Bracelet hinges are secure but one is wearing quite thin which may need attention in the future. Clasp closes and is secure but the tongue moves a little whilst it is secured. Cushion-shaped diamond is collet set, estimated to weigh approximately 0.40cts and approximately I, SI1.
